Barefoot in the Park is a 1963 Tony-nominated comedy
play by Neil Simon, about a young couple, Paul and Corie Bratter, and their
odd neighbors in their small apartment building in Greenwich Village, New
York. It explores the troubles that newlyweds face, most of them related to
one of said neighbors, Victor Velasco. Simon was partly inspired by the
early days of his first (and at the time only) marriage.
