Charlotte's Web
![]() Saturday March 13 7:30 pm Sunday March 14 2:00 pm Charlotte's Web, the cherished children's tale by E.B. White about a pig, a girl, and a spider teaches us and our young ones, about humility, trust, the power of helping others, and the delicate nature of friendship. It's the story of Wilbur the pig, the runt of the litter. He's rescued by the farmer’s daughter, Fern, from being butchered for ham & bacon. She rears him in the kitchen but when he gets too big he is sent to Uncle Homer's farm where he once again is about to meet his fate. It’s in Uncle Homer's barn that Wilbur meets Charlotte, the spider who vows to save his life. She writes magic words in her web to make everyone think Wilbur is a miracle pig, so he won't be butchered. Friendship, support and devotion shine. An obvious lesson is that real friends are there for each other and do everything within their power to help one another.
