OUR 2022 END-OF-YEAR FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN

In 2020, you helped us “Keep The Curtains Open”, and last year, you joined us in “Projecting The Future” and enabled us to buy a brand-new 4K projector. But this year, we wanted to focus on a cornerstone of this organization that will be a part of this community for generations to come.

Since the start of 2020, El Campanil Theatre Academy has offered over 50 different production and skills-based courses in everything from Shakespeare to stage combat, from movement to sound design, and from improvisation to stage make-up. And that’s not including the full-scale productions, which have advanced from The Music Man and Elf the Musical to Much Ado About Nothing, and the most recent offering, Les Miserables.

The mission of this program is to not only offer quality arts education from working professionals in their field, but to offer career pathways to young artists in every regard, all in a safe and supportive environment.

There are literally countless studies of the correlation between exposure to the performing arts and success in academics, and training in aspects of technical theatre opens doors for those students who may not always want to be up on stage.

For those who do want to be on stage, our production-based classes are backed by a full team of theatre professionals that currently make a living in the fields that they teach, so that our students are always learning from working artists.

And while we’re very proud of what we’ve accomplished with this program, we have our sights on what’s next: more classes for all age levels from 4-18, adult classes, outreach programs that offer after-school courses at schools in East County, an increase in budget for our productions, and so much more.

We also offer financial aid for students and their families, and we have not turned away a single student who has applied, offering over $5000 in financial aid in 2022 alone. We don’t think money should stand in the way of quality arts education.

More than all of that, though, the opportunity to help shape the future artists in our community is a responsibility that we take very seriously. But to take it to the next level, we need your help.

Our 2022 fundraising goal for this program is $50,000, and this campaign will end on December 31st.

As we’re a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, all donations are fully tax-deductible. Check out the details for our campaign at the website below.

Thanks for listening, and from all of us to all of you–thanks for supporting the next generation of artists!
