Stage Door Mural

Local Artist Miguel Acevas Medina approached El Campanil Theatre and offered to do a small mural so that he could show his work to the community.

Although not seen by most patrons, the stage door on G Street was the perfect spot to bring some life to "just another door".
This particular door has been the place where many many famous - and yet to be famous people enter and exit the theatre.  These doors have welcomed people like Donald O'Connor, Lionel Hampton, Randy Newman, Richie Havens, The Kingston Trio, countless vaudeville performers and thousands of young actors and dancers who have had the opportunity to perform on our stage.

The theme was obvious.  Show a performer exiting the theatre and have someone hand her some flowers.

Who else but the woman who helped us re-open El Campanil Theatre in 2004.  Debbie Reynolds.
We appreciate the time and effort that Miguel put into this beautiful enhancement to the theatre.
Here is some of the work that he does.  If you need to spruce up a wall in your backyard or create a beautiful mural in your child's bedroom, please consider Miguel. He can be reached at (925) 565-8941. Please let him know you saw his work at El Campanil Theatre.
